Zeljko Komsic, a member of the BiH Presidency, commented on the amendments to the Election Law of BiH, the actions of High Representative Christian Schmidt, the politics of Dragan Covic and Milorad Dodik, and expectations from the upcoming General Elections.
He announced tomorrow’s meeting of the Democratic Front delegation with the high representative on electoral and constitutional reform.
“Professors and state parliamentarians Dzenan Donlagic and Zlatan Begic will present our proposal for changes to the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Electoral Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the High Representative. I hope he will not shout at them, as he shouted at journalists, because you never know him. Schmidt is trying to cemented the HDZ in the Electoral Law, so that the construction of the government will not be possible without them. I think that the high representative gave up the unconstitutional and anti-civilization percentages for the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament. I assume that he will go to strengthen the role of the Croatian People’s Club in the House of Peoples of the Federal Parliament, so for HDZ to always be the inevitable government,” Komsic said while guesting on the Sedam plus Hayat TV show.
Referring to Dragan Covic’s statement that Schmidt must impose changes to the BiH Electoral Law, Komsic said that he will certainly not listen to the HDZ leader.
“Schmidt does not have to impose changes to the BiH Electoral Law. He certainly does not listen to Dragan Čović, but he listens to the views of the American Embassy and the international community. Conversations held at diplomatic meetings, such as this one in Bled, represent interference in the internal affairs of BiH. The High Representative’s dialogue with the prime minister and minister of a neighboring country interfering in the internal politics of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the height of hypocrisy,” Komsic said.
Komsic commented on Zoran Milanovic’s statement that Milorad Dodik is his ally in his own way.
“Fortunate for him when Dodik is his ally, it shows the stage he has reached,” says Komsic.
Komšić sees Schmidt’s hasty reaction from Goražde as an indication of nervousness.
“Schmidt’s reaction is the result of visible nervousness, which is not typical for German politicians and diplomats. He surprised everyone with such a gesture towards the journalist, including me, although little in the political life of Bosnia and Herzegovina can surprise me,” said Komsic, Klix.ba reports.
