Kremlin: Russia interested in Peace Talks with Ukraine, but continues its Mission

The Kremlin said Russia remained interested in peace talks with Ukraine, but would continue to carry out strikes on the country until its goals were achieved.

“The Russian armed forces are fulfilling their mission. They continue to strike military and paramilitary targets,” said Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

He added that “at the same time, Russia remains interested in continuing the negotiation process in order to achieve the goals set by political and diplomatic means.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the new death toll from Russia’s massive attack on Kiev had risen to 14, including three children.

He condemned the “horrific and deliberate massacre of civilians.”

“The Russians are not looking to end the war, but only to launch new strikes,” Zelensky said on the social network X.
