Kristo-Kamikawa: Japan’s Readiness to continue providing Assistance and Support to BiH

The Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Krišto, held a bilateral meeting today in Sarajevo with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Yoko Kamikawa.

Excellent bilateral relations and continuous cooperation in various fields were highlighted at the meeting of the two high-ranking political officials, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.

At today’s meeting, numerous issues of mutual interest were discussed, from economic and technological cooperation, culture, as well as mutual cooperation on the international level. The high technological development of Japan and the potential investments of Japanese investors can contribute to the accelerated development of all branches of the economy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Chairperson Kristo informed Minister Kamikawa about the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the efforts being made, especially in the negotiation process that follows for our country. The European future and the comprehensive integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will lead to full membership in the EU, have no alternative, said Chairperson Kristo.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan also expressed the strong support and role of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the development of the entire region and confirmed Japan’s readiness to continue providing assistance and support in various areas.

This meeting additionally confirms the commitment of both countries to building a permanent partnership based on mutual trust and common values, chairperson Kristo and Minister Kamikawa concluded at today’s meeting, it was stated in the statement of the BiH Council of Ministers.
