The third session of the Organizing Committee of the NGIC (Nizami Ganjavi International Center) X Global Baku Forum, which will be held from March 9th to 11th, 2023, was held in Riga under the title ”Challenges of Today’s World”.
One of the topics will be dedicated to the Euro-Atlantic integration of the Western Balkans as the European Union’s (EU) response to the parallel crises that will mark the coming year: security, economic, energy, health, and food crises.
At the meeting with Latvian President Egils Levits, special attention was paid to the next steps after the NATO ministerial meeting in Bucharest, where Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) was also discussed.
On that occasion, Dr. Zlatko Lagumdzija particularly emphasized the importance of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague as an essential factor in the prevention of any violation of the international legal order and obligations arising in the event of aggression against sovereign countries as well as unconstitutional violations of their territorial integrity.
Just as international law is being defended in Ukraine today, European peace is being defended in BiH through the defense of its sovereignty and integrity along with accelerated integration into the EU and NATO.
