The legal team of the Plenum of Tuzla Citizens said that the protests for today at 13:00 in front of the Tuzla Canton Assembly was announced by individuals and groups that act on their own behalf, with the demand to ‘’take the paper with submission of the duties of the Assembly of Tuzla Canton to the Plenum and the people’, and was not passed by the Plenum of the citizens of Tuzla Canton at the session on 6 March. Thus, the Plenum of the citizens of Tuzla Canton does not stand behind the announced protests.
‘’We consider it especially important to note that everyone, except through elections, taking over the legislative competence of the Assembly of Tuzla Canton, that obtained legitimacy through the elections, is an act against the state. This action and similar ones are illegal, and as such cannot be a conclusion of the Plenum, as a body that articulates the interests of citizens’’, said in a statement of the legal team of the Plenum of the citizens of Tuzla Canton.
They also noted that only the Tuzla Canton Assembly could appoint a Mandator of the Tuzla Canton government, as the only legitimate legislative body, and in accordance with the Tuzla Canton Constitution, and laws and regulations, which regulate the procedure for appointing the Mandator and members of the Tuzla Canton government.
