Lapsley was born in New Zealand, and after completing his training to become an Anglican priest in Australia he was sent to South Africa. From the start of his service he was dedicated to the struggle for liberation, as a Christian and as a priest, and he joined the movement of Nelson Mandela in the National Congress.
However, he was expelled from South Africa in 1974 and for the next 16 years he lived in neighboring countries in the south of the African continent, and traveled throughout the world to mobilize people in the fight against apartheid.
The book was first published in the Bosnian language by the NGO Gariwo in its edition the question of all questions in 2012. Along with Lapsley, another author of the book is Stephen Karakashian, and the book was translated from English by Željka Vojinović.
The promotion of his book is scheduled for Thursday, 3 April on the premises of the Media Canter at 19:00. Amer Tikveša, Gradimir Gojer, Lejla Turčilo and the author will speak about the book. The moderator will be Svetlana Broz, Director of NGO Gariwo. Everyone who is present will receive a copy of the book as a gift, and will be given a translation of the author’s speech from English.
