“Let’s Do It-Clean the Country in One Day’ for the Third Time in B&H

“Let’s Do It-Clean the Country in One Day’ is the biggest volunteer action in the history of B&H dedicated primarily to the cleaning of illegal landfills in a single day, as well as the cleaning of green areas and other natural resources, and protected areas. This year, the action will take place on Sunday, 27 April, starting at 9:00 on the territory of all of B&H.

In the last two years, ‘Let’s Do It’ teams organized two actions that were realized with the huge help of partners, sponsors and friends of this project, and with the generous help and support of dedicated volunteers.

The action is organized by the Association of citizens ‘Ruke’ from Sarajevo and the Association of citizens ‘Mozaik of Friendship’ from Banja Luka, in partnership with the governmental sector, public and private businesses, schools/faculties and other nonprofit organizations/associations, as well as with the support of the international community, academic community, public and private media (electronic and print media), and dignitaries from the public life and business spheres.

Just like in past years, B&H will take part in the global action of cleaning the planet called ‘Let’s Do It World Cleanup 2014’ (www.letsdoitworld.org). So far, 110 countries in the world with more than 9 million volunteers have taken part in the action.
