lift_bazenThe services of the Olympic Pool Otoka in Sarajevo will be able to be used in the future freely by people with special needs, after a lift was put into operation yesterday that would allow people easy entry and use of the pool.

The lift has enriched the offers of the Olympic Pool thanks to the efforts of the City Administration of the city of Sarajevo and a donation of the company ‘Butmir’ d.o.o. and the Mayor of Sarajevo Ivo Komšić officially put it into operation.

‘’The lift is of great importance for people who use the pool who have special needs, and there are a lot of them. This is a gift from Sejo Hasibović, owner of the company ‘Butmir’ to people who need water therapy. Unfortunately, in our city there are many who need this lift’’, said Komšić.

Associate for Promotion of the Olympic Pool in Otoka Nurko Čaušević said that the offer of the pool has a richer service that would allow people with disabilities and people with special needs to feel equal with other users.

‘’We have begun talks on more concrete cooperation with representatives of associations that bring together this population. We let them know about our new offers that would allow them to use the pool without interruptions’’, said Čaušević.
