The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, appointed Luigi Soreca as the new head of the EU Delegation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, it was stated in the press release of the European External Affairs Service.
The previous head of the EU Delegation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Johann Sattler, was appointed as the EU ambassador to Montenegro, the EU’s special representative for dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and other regional issues, Miroslav Lajčak, was appointed as the EU ambassador to Switzerland, while the new head of the EU Office for Kosovo, Orav Aivo, who previously held the position of EU ambassador in Montenegro.
In addition, the former EU ambassador to Malaysia, Michalis Rokas, was appointed as the new ambassador of the Union to North Macedonia.
Borell appointed a total of 44 officials to the posts of Head of Delegation, Head of Office and EU Chargé d’affaires, as part of a diplomatic rotation in EU delegations around the world.
