Marija Hudolin, the second runner-up of Miss Besieged Sarajevo (1993), arrived at the 28th edition of the Sarajevo Film Festival (SFF) and delighted the audience with her appearance.
Namely, for this occasion, Marija chose a gorgeous dress by designer Amira Pertesi.
Marija commented this year’s red carpet, that is, the creations that could be seen during these seven days of the festival.
“It seems to me that the red carpet is somehow more casual this year. I tried to be a little more glamorous than usual tonight, just like in previous years, but I think that SFF this year is generally in a more relaxed style than before. However, in anyway, there were some great creations,” she said yesterday.
Marija revealed that she always tries to promote local designers.
“Due to my husband’s work, in the last few years I have lived in various countries in the region. I think it is very important to promote local designers in this way, because they are a kind of ambassadors of our country. When you come to any film festival in the world, exactly the red carpet attracts the most attention,” she pointed out.
After modeling, Marija was a television presenter for a while, and then decided to enjoy privacy and devote herself to motherhood.
She has four children with his husband Steffen: daughters Sophia, Pia and Elizabeth and son Markus.
“Not so long ago, I had a career. It’s a period that I remember fondly and sometimes I want to go back to it. For one day… Not more than that. Just to remember the feeling of relief that I wasn’t even aware of at the time. To trivialize, the one when you don’t need blur or high exposure for a good photo. Now I’m here, living motherhood, and my children are an endless and inexhaustible source of material,” Marija wrote on her blog.
To recall, on May 29th, 1993, the contest for Miss Besieged Sarajevo took place in the Bosnian Cultural Center. The victory was won by Inela Nogic. Dijana Sehic was her first runner-up, and Marija Hudolin was her second runner-up.
The girls used this opportunity to draw the attention of the world public to the siege of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) by holding a banner in which the message “Don’t let them kill us” was written, Klix.ba reports.
