On occasion of marking this day, the B&H Agency for Personal Protection Data will hold a press conference. The Director of the Agency, Deputy Director and Assistant Director of Inspections, Complaints and Main Register will make addresses, and will present the Progress Report for 2013.
The Agency said that the marking of this day is a chance to strengthen public awareness on the protection of personal data. The event also represents the anniversary of the Convention 108 for the protection of individuals with regard to automatic processing of personal data of the Council of Europe.
Data Protection Day is celebrated globally, and outside of Europe is called ‘Day of Privacy’.
