Mayor Komšić Spoke With Ambassador of Turkey on City Infrastructure Projects

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAMayor of Sarajevo Ivo Komšić received the Ambassador of Turkey to B&H Ahmet Yildiz today.

Komšić spoke of the friendly relations with several Turkish cities and said that cooperation should continue and develop.

The Mayor expressed the readiness of the City Administration to continue talks with Istanbul, which offered the administration of Sarajevo help regarding the interior purification of the river Miljacka.’’We are ready to speak about this project since it is about the responsibility of the city of Sarajevo in the maintenance of waterways’’, said Komšić.

During today’s meeting, they spoke of projects such as the restoration of Trebević lifts, building bike paths, and construction of new park spaces.

‘’Istanbul, Ankara, Bursa and Kony, with whom Sarajevo has excellent cooperation, are the four leading cities in Turkey, in an economic and cultural sense’’, said Ambassador Yildiz. He expressed his confidence in the continuation of this cooperation, especially in the area of city infrastructure.
