Parties at the meeting brought three conclusions: that the demands of citizens are legitimate, as well as their resolution in accordance with the law, and based on the analysis of operation, activities and results achieved so far did not fulfill the request for the termination of the Mayor’s mandate or his replacement. Also, it was agreed to not dismiss the Municipal Council and it was announced that the Mayor will continue and intensify his efforts to solve the required issues.
More than 400 Zenica citizens waited for the results of the this meeting in front of the Zenica Municipality, expecting for the possible resignation of Mayor Smajlović to be considered.
A group of 13 people formed the Zenica Plenum of citizens, after the announcement of meeting results. Seven requirements are part of it: to ensure the safety of protestors and organizers, formation of an expert team until the formation of a new government- deadline, 1 March, the new government must consist of non- partisans and shall be elected by citizens, reduction of administration and synchronization of wages in the administrative sector, revision of privatization and properties acquired during the time of the mandate, the election of a management and supervisory board consisting of people from the Employment Bureau, defining the social policy.
