A new meeting of representatives of the parties that make up the coalition at the state level in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be held today in Sarajevo.
The representatives of the ruling parties will continue the conversation from ten days ago about certain legal solutions from 14 priorities from the opinion of the European Commission, primarily about the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, so that the Parliamentary Assembly could adopt them by the end of the month.
After the last meeting in East Sarajevo, the leader of the Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, said that it could very easily happen that those two laws receive support by the end of the month in the state Parliament, i.e. before the visit of the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, which, as stated, meant that the participants of the meeting are ready, for the sake of BiH’s European path, to suppress their political decisions a little and something with which they probably do not agree in principle sometimes.
“It is very important that we continue in this atmosphere. We have agreed on the intensification of cooperation, meetings, until the adoption of these laws,” said Nikšić.
The president of the HDZ BiH, Dragan Čović, expressed his satisfaction with the way of communication and the level of coordination and added that “there is still a lot that needs to be ironed out”.
It was finalized, as Čović said after the meeting in East Sarajevo, that some things need to be done quickly at the level of the Council of Ministers so that both houses of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly can sit in a relatively short time and adopt some of the necessary legal acts before the arrival of the representatives of the European Union.
When it comes to the Electoral Law, SNSD president Milorad Dodik said that it was agreed that the issue “continues to move towards the working group that should determine the elements”, Fena reports.
