This session is dedicated to food safety and themes of huge importance for BIH consumers and food producers in the context of Croatian accession to the EU.
Special attention will be given to measures that have to be taken in order to make it easier to place BIH products on the EU market.
Martin Schieder, Head of the Sector for Economic Development, Natural Resources and Infrastructure in the EU Delegation to BiH and the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Šarović will open the session with a presentation on emergency measures regarding the export of animal products and products of animal origin, and how to make a functional system and achieve EU standards.
During the session, parliamentarians from BIH will have the chance to hear presentations by experts in the field, the Director of the Agency for Food Safety in BiH Sejad Mačkić, the Director of the Veterinary Office of BiH Ljubomir Kalaba, and the Director of the Office for the Protection of Medicinal Herbs of BiH Radenko Radović.
The meeting will be held in the building of the EU Delegation in BiH beginning at 10:00.
