Dragan Mektić vijesti.baAfter the announcement of Vojislav Seselj that he might “pop” these days in BiH, and since Seselj can only enter illegally in our country, the Minister of Security of BiH Dragan Mektic noted that if it comes to that, he will be prosecuted. Mektic warned the President of RS Milorad Dodik that the arrival of Seselj is not his thing but a matter of national borders.

He explicitly stated that the Border Police of BiH will not let Vojislav Seselj and allow him entry to our country.

“He cannot enter regularly in BiH, therefore he can only do it in illegal way. If he illegally enters, he will be treated like any other person who illegally enters in BiH. He will be deported back to Serbia and prosecuted because of that,” said Mektic.

He also commented on the statement of the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, who said that RS will not make any problems regarding the arrival of Seselj.

“It’s not a question that concerns Dodik, but the border issue and the Law on Foreigners of BiH, which regulates the crossing of the state border. Dodik behaves in manipulative and politicized manner. It is well known that Dodik persecuted and expelled Seselj in 1997 from the RS, when he was not under the measure of the High Representative and while he was not the Hague accused, while he was the Prime Minister of RS,” said Mektic.

He recalled that Milorad Dodik was the one who escorted him with the police to the border crossing Raca, and now he says that the leader of the Serbian Radical Party is welcome in the RS.

“It’s manipulative behavior. He perfectly understands that everything in this regard and this kind of behavior harms the reputation of the function of president of RS. There is the prohibition of the High Representative and on the basis of his authority we are obliged to respect this decision,” said Mektic and concluded that the laws must be respected in BiH including the Law on foreigners.
