Members of B&H Presidency Received Operational EU Force Commander for Operation ‘Althea’ in B&H

Chairman of the B&H Presidency Željko Komšić and member of the B&H Presidency Nebojša Radmanović received General Sir Richard Shirreff in a farewell visit, and General Sir Adrian Bradshaw, the newly-appointed commander of the EU Forces in B&H for operation ‘Althea’ and the Deputy Supreme Commander of the EU Allied Forces in Europe was present.

They spoke of the current political and security situation in B&H, with a particular focus on the citizens’ protests.

‘’The current activities of EUFOR are concentrated on the current events in B&H’’, said during the meeting. It was pointed out that the EUFOR Mission in B&H has the interest of strengthening stability in the region.

Members of the B&H Presidency thanked General Sir Richard Shirreff for everything that EUFOR has done for B&H.

They expressed satisfaction that EUFOR is conducting its mission in B&H and provides additional capacity, in order to stabilize the security situation in the country.

During the meeting, they emphasized the good cooperation of EUFOR with relevant B&H institutions, above all the B&H Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces, said the B&H Presidency. Advisor for political issues Haris Bašić attended on behalf of member of the B&H Presidency Bakir Izetbegović.
