German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated yesterday that European leaders and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a constructive conversation with the United States (U.S.) President Donald Trump.
The conversation took place two days before Trump’s planned meeting in Alaska with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
After the online meeting, Merz said that important decisions could be made in Anchorage, but stressed that the meeting “must protect fundamental European and Ukrainian security interests.”
