The Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs has no knowledge that the arrest of the “Croatian spy” that the Serbian media is writing about today “really happened”.

“We don’t have any information about the mentioned topic, nor that such an event really happened”, said MVEP when asked by Hina news agency about the claims of the Serbian media.

They write that early in the morning in the Belgrade area, the Security and Information Agency (BIA) in cooperation with other competent state bodies arrested a person described as a “Croatian spy”.

The BIA “conducted a counter-intelligence operation to arrest a Croatian spy,” reports Belgrade’s Novosti.

They add that the action is the result of “several months of operational work by the BIA and the continuation of the suppression of espionage and destructive-subversive activities of the Croatian intelligence and security service SOA”.
