In the Ex-Yu Rock Center in the Sarajevo Youth Center, a collection of photographs of music icons of the eighties, by photographer Milomir Kovačević Strašni, was presented.
The permanent exhibition of the Ex Yu Rock Center, entitled “You shock me, my mothers”, which represents the Sarajevo rock scene of the 80s of the last century, has been enriched with a new collection of photographs by Milomir Kovačević Strašni. His photographs of women in the ex yu rock scene from before are part of the permanent exhibition. The author lives between Paris and Sarajevo, and coming to the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina was an ideal opportunity for the Ex Yu Rock Center team.
IGOR MIŠIĆ, coordinator of “Ex Yu Rock Center”
We quickly agreed and took advantage of his arrival here, to simply combine all the contributions he made to this center and all the contributions to the collection we have in the end into one, and it is now already a respectable thirty large-format photographs that will be in one place for our audience and visitors can see.
In the eighties, during the golden age of the Sarajevo rock scene, Milomir Kovačević was a young man, but also a fan of this music. He went to concerts at the Youth Center and regularly followed and recorded with his device some of the most special moments he could record.

We chose this collection, to begin with, which in some way depicts the best of what happened in those years in Sarajevo. I very rarely entered the stage, I preferred to be in the audience with paradise and feel that real atmosphere.
For the older generation of visitors, this display will surely evoke nostalgia, but the goal is to encourage younger people to create rock music themselves and thus continue their original work.
