SNSD party leader Milorad Dodik said yesterday night that Radovan Višković will remain the Prime Minister of the Republika Srpska.
Answering a journalist’s question about who will be the mandate holder for the new convocation of the Government of Republika Srpska, Dodik said that it is already known and that there is nothing to speculate.
“Višković will remain Prime Minister for the next two years. After two years, a new government will be elected,” said Dodik in Belgrade.
In the next twenty days, the new Government of Republika Srpska will be elected, the newly elected President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik said today.
Dodik emphasized that there will be a significant number of new people in the new government.
“Next week I will meet with the coalition partners who will be included in the government according to their election results. We want to secure a majority for the House of Peoples at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina, out of four, and to secure a two-thirds majority to protect Željka Cvijanović in the BiH Presidency from the obvious usurping positions that are already being prepared by the other two members of the Presidency,” said Dodik.
At the 39th special session held on Friday, the Government of the Republika Srpska (RS) approved the Budget Proposal of the RS for 2023.
Namely, the budget framework is 5 billion and 383 million BAM, which represents an increase of 19.4 percent compared to the II budget rebalancing for 2022.
This proposal also increases the budget of the President of the RS from this year’s 10.8 million BAM to 56.5 million BAM.
The most significant increase in the President’s budget refers to expenditures based on the use of goods and services, which increased from 7.2 million BAM to 52.6 million BAM.
The RS budget proposal states:
“Expenditures based on the use of goods and services are planned in accordance with the policies of saving and limiting non-productive consumption, while care was taken not to jeopardize the functioning and work of budget users when carrying out activities from their departmental competence. The increase in this group of expenses is to the greatest extent the result of the planning of funds for the realization of the project of support for humanitarian and socially useful actions and the patronage and support project for the construction, adaptation and equipping of facilities for children and youth, as well as the increase of expenditures for professional services”.
He emphasized that precisely because difficult years are ahead, Višković has enough routine and knowledge to lead the Government in such a time.
