This was confirmed by Zora Vidovic, RS Minister of Finance, at a press conference after the Government session, stating that it was a proposal of the Ministry of Labor, War Veterans and Disabled Persons’ Protection since the members of the Economic and Social Council could not agree on the minimum wage. Previously it was 590 BAM.
Zora Vidovic stated that the procedure of amending the law has been initiated, which will increase the non-taxable amount of the meal allowances from 4.5 to 7.5 BAM.
Yesterday, the RS government also discussed the budget rebalance, according to which the new budget framework for 2022 is 4 billion 382 million BAM, which is 358 million more than planned in the budget.
”Budget revenues increased by 11 percent and budget expenditures by three percent,” Vidovic stated.
Furthermore, she stated that 167 million BAM will be spent on a 10 percent increase in pensions, salaries, veterans’ benefits, and in the field of social protection.
”We have predicted an increase in investments of 90 million BAM, and subsidies in the economy of about 40 million BAM, for agriculture and the economy,” she added.
She further added that 50 million BAM is provided for one-time assistance to all categories that are socially endangered or are in a more difficult situation, considering their income, regardless of whether it is pensions, veterans’ allowances, or low salaries.
”We have also planned certain benefits for the youth,” Vidovic concluded yesterday.
