Asked whether European integrations will mean major amendments to the Constitution of BiH, considering that the British House of Lords said that there’s a danger that BiH would become a failed state, Crnadak said that “there won’t be major amendments to the Constitution of BiH.”
“There won’t be major constitutional amendments. The only thing that could happen is implementation of the Sejdic-Finci decision. No new initiatives could force something like that on us. And if they’re coming with that intention, then that initiative is already dead,” Crnadak said for N1.
Crnadak is participating in the 13th conference of European regions and cities, which is taking place in Salzburg in Austria. Before the conference, he met with the EU’s commissioner for neighborhood policy and negotiations Johannes Hahn and with other officials from the Western Balkans.
As a representative of Republika Srpska, one of the two entities in BiH, in the Council of Ministers said that it’s important for everyone in RS to for RS to be accepted with all of its constitutional responsibilities and role in deciding within BiH.
“It’s especially important that RS and FBiH be seen and respected in the process of European integrations, especially the coordination mechanism,” Crnadak said.
