Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sifet Podžić, today visited the outgoing Commander of the European Union Forces (EUFOR) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Major General Anton Wessely, at the EUFOR headquarters in the Butmir base near Sarajevo.
During the farewell visit, the interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the cooperation of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina with EUFOR forces. Podžić expressed his gratitude to Wessely for all the support that EUFOR provided to the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina in times that were challenging both financially and politically.
Podžić and Wessely noted that cooperation in preserving peace and security for all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina was particularly important during the outbreak of the armed conflict in Ukraine, which represents a security challenge for the whole of Europe, announced the Press Service of the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
