Last week in Belgrade, Šarović and Ljajić spoke with the Turkish Minister for Economy Zafer Čaglayan and agreed to organize in May a large gathering of business people, investors and governmental officials. The main topic could be the improvement of economic cooperation.
Minister Šarović told Fena agency that in mid-May in Turkey there is a scheduled ‘trilateral’ gathering, with the expected participation of members of the BiH Presidency, President of Serbia Tomislav Nikolić and the political leaders of Turkey. The goal would be in the framework of the meeting at a highest level to hold a ministerial meeting and business forum.
Šarović said that the key topics of the meeting and business forum would be investments and improving economic cooperation.
“The opportunities from both sides are much bigger than the current trade that is around 300 million euros annually. There are many BiH goods that have their place in the Turkish market, and the Agreement on free trade continues to be a huge chance for our exporters’’, said Minister Šarović.
