MoI Police Officer suspended for 40 BAM Bribe

Police officers of the Mrkonjić Grad Police Department yesterday submitted a report to the Republic Public Prosecutor’s Office against the police officer of the Mrkonjić Grad Police Station Z.G. about the committed criminal offense “Accepting a bribe”.

As announced by police unit Mrkonjić Grad, Z.G. allegedly started the criminal offense he is charged with earlier in July.

“Namely, there are grounds for suspecting that he committed the above-mentioned criminal offense on July 22, 2023, while performing his duty as a police officer, on which occasion he received a bribe in the amount of 40.00 BAM from the injured party,” the PU Mrkonjić grad announced.

A request for the implementation of an internal procedure will be submitted against the mentioned police officer and he will be suspended until the procedure is completed.
