Monika could not find job in Italy, but manages to lead a successful Company in BiH

“I do not understand the people who are sitting in the cafes all day and laughing because I am driving a forklift,” this is how Monika Macan, a young entrepreneur starts her story.

She moved from Italy to BiH together with her sister. In Italy, there was no proper job for her, and even though they did not know the language and the understanding became difficult, they saw the chance in wood sales in our country.

The beginning was not easy, but today she is the owner of the company dealing with wood and she has made her own company out of nothing.

“At first I did not know anything. I learned slowly and, as workers were constantly changing, I had even to learn driving the forklift. Now I’m all alone, “Monika says.

For the ones who want to work, there is no job that is so difficult, Monika said, adding that she cuts the wood without any problems.

Her working day starts at 7 am, ends at 8 o’clock. She does a lot of work but does not complain, and says that she has created a company from nothing and that she is very proud.

“If you try to do everything possible, I can say that I am happy now,” Monika says.

Her message, especially to young people, is that if they want to do something, they have to work a lot, to give up many things, but they should not be ashamed of doing an honest job.
