Airlines in the United States of America (USA) have canceled or delayed thousands of flights as Hurricane Helen, which is getting stronger, is expected to reach Florida.
A total of 1,038 flights were canceled and 1,672 were delayed, according to flight tracking website Flytaver.
Officials issued emergency warnings and urged residents in coastal areas along the hurricane’s path to evacuate, ahead of catastrophic winds and a potentially deadly storm surge.
Airports across the affected regions warned travelers via the “X” network of potential flight delays or cancellations.
