Bosnian-Herzegovinian basketball player Džanan Musa ended his three-year spell at Real Madrid by winning another Spanish championship.
Real beat Valencia in the play-off final, winning 3-0 in the series. Musa thus concluded another successful chapter in his life, and in the next three seasons he should play for Dubai, a newly formed club from the United Arab Emirates, with whom he will play in the Euroleague.
Dubai is preparing to compete in the strongest European basketball competition by signing a five-year contract with the Euroleague, which begins in September. The club from the Emirates will also compete in the regional ABA League, in which it reached the play-off semi-finals last season.
Led by coach Jurica Golemac, Dubai will face some of the most famous basketball teams in the world in the 2025/26 season. Opponents will include Real Madrid, Barcelona, Panathinaikos, Olympiacos and reigning champions Fenerbahçe, among other elite clubs.
Founded in 2023, Dubai Basketball is a newly established professional basketball franchise that has assembled a strong roster of players, hailing from the Philippines, the United States, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jordan, Turkey, Latvia, Italy and France.
