Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and around the world will celebrate the Night of Forgiveness or Leylet-ul-Bera’at tonight.
It is observed on the night between the 14th and 15th days of Sha’ban, the eighth month of the Hijra calendar.
Generally, Muslims spent Berat Night reciting the Quran and performing special prayers as well as visiting the graves of deceased relatives.
If there is anyone who seeks forgiveness or needs help, or if there is anyone in pain they should seek help between sunset and sunrise.
Muslims believe God forgives sins very generously. For that reason, Muslims spend the night in prayer, and fast the next day.
Muslims are recommended to fast at least six days of this month.
The Night is the time to ask for forgiveness; provision; healing and help.
