The Chairman of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska(NARS), Nenad Stevandic, said that it is necessary to find a legal mechanism in order to respond to the decision of the Constitutional Law on the suspension of the RS Property Law.
Stevandic believes that the NARS should consider the legal mechanism of action according to the temporary measure adopted on Thursday by the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), thereby suspending the application of the RS Property Law.
He pointed out that it will be necessary to make a decision that will be in the interest of the RS, and that will protect “people who register property”.
The Government of the RS could allegedly propose the third Law on Immovable Property of the RS at one of the next special sessions of the National Assembly of that entity after adopting it in the form of a proposal.
From the ruling coalition in the smaller BiH entity, they have already announced that the new law, which intends to register the entity’s ownership of state property, could be adopted while the Constitutional Court of BiH is deciding on the merits of the second contested law concerning immovable property, Klix.ba reports.
