Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today condemned the announcement by Ireland, Sweden and Spain that they will soon recognize a Palestinian state, describing the move as a “reward for terrorism”.
“It will be a terrorist state. They will try to repeat the massacre carried out on October 7, and we do not agree with that,” Netanyahu stressed.
The Norwegian Government announced a little earlier the decision to recognize the Palestinian state. Ireland and Spain said they would formally recognize Palestinian statehood on Tuesday, May 28, when Norway’s decision takes effect.
