South Korean Netflix star Kim Sae-ron has passed away at the age of 24, police have confirmed.
The actress, who rose to fame in the popular Netflix series ‘Bloodhounds‘, is being remembered with numerous tributes, and condolences are being sent to her family.
Kim was found dead in her home by a friend who notified the police on Sunday. According to police reports, no suspicious circumstances are suspected. Kim’s death has been ruled a suicide. No note was left.
She was one of the most promising actresses in South Korea, but her career took a hit after a drunk driving incident in 2022.
Kim made her first on-screen appearance at the age of nine and played roles in numerous films and TV series.
She gained popularity as a child star in the film ‘A Brand New Life‘ (2009) and the hit ‘The Man From Nowhere‘ (2010).
Her first adult role was in the TV drama ‘Secret Healer‘ (2016), and she also starred in the thriller ‘The Villagers‘ (2018).
Her last role was in the Korean drama series ‘Bloodhounds‘, which was released on Netflix in 2023.
