New Convocation of the PSBiH House of Representatives

Four years after the last election – new names, new power relations and new post-election mathematics. Forty-two representatives, sixteen political subjects and even 24 new people in PD PSBiH.

According to the current preliminary results of the General Elections, this is what the new convocation of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH should look like.

SDA has the most representatives – nine.

Next, SNSD follows with six, SDP with five, HDZ BiH and partners with four, and the Party for BiH with three mandates. DF, Narod i Pravda, SDS and the Safe Srpska Movement have two each. One mandate each belonged to Our Party, NES, Croatian Five, Za pravda i red, United Srpska, DNS and DEMOS.

But the numbers are not the only news.

As many as 24 new representatives enter the state parliament. There are six from SDA, four from SNSD, and among the new representatives are four current ministers of the Council of Ministers, Borjana Krišto, Elmedin Konaković, Zukan Helez and Srđan Amidžić.

From the executive power to the legislative power, the entire small ministerial line-up moves. There are also three delegates from the previous convocation of the House of Peoples – Dženan Đonlagić, Džemal Smajić and Želimir Nešković.

However, “new” does not necessarily mean politically unknown.

Igor Radojičić, former president of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska and mayor of Banja Luka, sits on the parliamentary benches. Nenad Nešić, former Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is also returning to the Parliament.

So, almost half of the parliament changes compared to the previous convocation. New faces, but a very familiar political map.
