The United Kingdom (UK) media reported the latest information regarding the health condition of Michael Schumacher, the seven-time Formula 1 world champion, who has been fighting for almost 12 years after suffering a severe brain injury while skiing in the French Alps.
According to media reports, Schumacher is accommodated at the Las Brisas villa, in the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range, near Andratx. The property, worth 30 million pounds (67.68 million BAM), is situated on a cliff, shielded by tall trees, stone walls, and surveillance, which ensures complete privacy for the family.
As reported, despite his complex health condition, the 57-year-old Schumacher is not confined to a bed, but due to the consequences of the accident, he cannot walk independently.
A team of nurses and therapists guides him through daily activities in a wheelchair, providing round-the-clock care that amounts to tens of thousands of pounds per week.
Schumacher remains surrounded by close family and a small circle of trusted friends, among them his former Ferrari boss Jean Todt, who visits him regularly and watches Formula 1 races together with him.
Despite speculation about neurological complications, multiple sources confirm that Schumacher understands the events around him, although communication with him remains limited.
The Schumacher family, led by his wife Corinna, has strictly protected his privacy since the 2013 accident, and no photograph of Michael in his serious condition has been released. Rumors about his presence at his daughter Gina’s wedding in 2024 were not confirmed, and the main family residence remains in Gland, Switzerland, while they spend secluded holidays in Mallorca.
During his career, Schumacher won 91 races, 68 pole positions, and 155 podium finishes, making him one of the most successful and wealthiest athletes of all time. Although Lewis Hamilton later equaled his seven championship titles, Schumacher’s record of 77 fastest laps still stands.
