Explosions resounded in several cities in Lebanon today, and as the Guardian reports, it seems that walkie-talkie devices used by members of Hezbollah exploded.
The Guardian reports that a source in Hezbollah confirmed this, and that a senior security source said that the explosions were smaller but similar to yesterday’s attack, and that an investigation is ongoing.
There were still no reports of casualties, but a Guardian reporter heard ambulances heading for Beirut’s southern suburbs.
We remind you that this explosion comes a day after pagers used by Hezbollah members for communication exploded all over Lebanon, as a result of which, according to the latest information, 12 people were killed and almost 3,000 people were injured, mostly civilians.
Reuters reports that Lebanese security sources said that dozens of people were injured in the latest wave of explosions, while Lebanon’s National News Agency (NAA) reported that three people were killed in the blasts.
