
At its session held on April 17th, 2019, the Sarajevo Canton Assembly adopted the Law on Registration and Procedure for the Review of Property Data of Public Functions Holders in Sarajevo Canton.
The law entered into force on May 11th, 2019, and the deadline for submission of data is June 10th, 2019.
The Office for Combating Corruption and Quality Management of Canton Sarajevo is competent for the implementation of this Law, which includes the authority to collect, verify and process data on the holders of public functions, establish and maintain a Register of Property Data as well as initiate misdemeanor and criminal proceedings for violation provisions.
The law states that fines will be from 10 to 20 thousand BAM for not reporting property upon taking over duties. T
The same amounts of fines are foreseen for non-registration of property at the request of the Anti-Corruption Office and after leaving the office.
For delays in the annual registration of the property, a fine of 1,000 to 2,500 BAM is foreseen, Klix.ba news portal reports.
