The office of the Joint Team for the Control of Goods and Cargo, consisting of officers from the Indirect Taxation Administration and the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was officially opened at the Sarajevo International Airport. On that occasion, a valuable donation of specialist and IT equipment was presented by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the ITA of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
The donation will significantly improve the work and increase the operability at the Sarajevo International Airport.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Indirect Taxation Administration and the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as UNODC. On that occasion, all those present expressed their readiness to continue cooperation and joint action.
In this way, inter-agency cooperation and continuous support from UNODC in strengthening the capacities of law enforcement agencies continued, all with the aim of preventing cross-border crime, drug trafficking, smuggling, as well as other forms of organized crime, the ITA of Bosnia and Herzegovina stated.
