Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui discussed the development of cooperation at a meeting in Moscow, focusing on the implementation of previously concluded agreements, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced.
“During the negotiations, there was a detailed exchange of opinions on current issues of developing bilateral relations with an emphasis on the implementation of the agreement from the September summit of the leaders of the two countries at the Vostochny Cosmodrome, including the schedule of upcoming political contacts,” the announcement stated.
The ministers agreed that it is necessary to maintain the set pace of interaction in practical areas, further improve the legal framework and intensify exchanges in the humanitarian and cultural spheres.
“During the discussion on the situation on the Korean Peninsula and in Northeast Asia, the parties confirmed their mutual commitment to the political and diplomatic resolution of tensions in the region,” the Russian Ministry pointed out.
