The Norwegian government announced on Sunday that it will supply Ukraine with anti-aircraft defense systems worth seven billion Norwegian kroner (US$696.12 million).
“Together with Germany, we will make sure that Ukraine gets powerful anti-aircraft defense systems,” said Prime Minister Jonas Gar Stor.
“Germany and Norway are working closely together to support Ukraine in its fight to defend the country and protect the civilian population from Russian airstrikes,” he added.
The two countries are funding two Patriot systems, including missiles.
Norway will also contribute to the procurement of an anti-aircraft radar from the German manufacturer Hensolt and an anti-aircraft defense system from Kongsberg.
