Several major international airlines have canceled flights to many parts of the Middle East today due to the attacks by Israel and the United States of America on Iran.
Flights to and from Israel, Iran, Lebanon, Oman and parts of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) were suspended by the French company Air France, the Dutch KLM, the Indian IndiGo, the German Lufthansa, the Japanese Japan Airlines, the British Virgin Atlantic, Viz Air and others, reports Reuters.
The airspace above Iran and Iraq was almost completely empty this morning, the maps of the flight tracking platform Flightradar24 showed.
Japan Airlines also canceled flights to Qatar.
The airlines state in separate announcements that the suspension measures will be valid mainly until Saturday, March 7, but that they may change depending on the development of the situation.
