One of the most important Historians in BiH, Enes Durakovic, passed away

Enes Duraković, one of the most important historians of Bosniak and Bosnian literature, died today in Sarajevo.

The news that Duraković died was announced on Facebook by Esad Džudžo, founder and director of the company Center for Bosniak Studies.

“The departure of another great Bosniak,” he wrote briefly.

Duraković was a literary historian, essayist, literary critic and anthologist, and he also worked as a full-time professor at the Department of Literature of the Peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Faculty of Philosophy at University of Sarajevo.

He was one of the founders of KDM Preporod, a member of the Executive Board of the Council of the Congress of Bosniak Intellectuals, chairman of the plenary session of the First Bosniak Parliament, deputy and then minister of education, science, culture and sports in the Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He is the author of the books “Bosniak and Bosnian Literary Inevitability”, “Obzori Bosniak Literature” and others, Klix.ba writes.
