Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) today, as part of the “Tracker” operation, in the area of Lončar, Donje Žabar, Pelagićevo, Čović Polje, Odžak and Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, began searches of residential buildings and movable property on six location.
During the search, so far, about seven kilograms of herbaceous substance that looks like marijuana, 12 packets of powdery substance that looks like speed, about 500 grams of powdery substance that looks like cocaine, have been temporarily confiscated. 50 whole stalks of herbaceous matter being dried, which in its appearance is associated with the narcotic drug marijuana, about 4,500 convertible marks, 2,065 euros and other items that can serve as evidence that the said criminal offense was committed.
The activities are carried out due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that the criminal offense of “unauthorized production and placing on the market of narcotic drugs” has been committed, prescribed by the Criminal Code of the Republika Srpska.
The searches are carried out according to the orders of the District Court in Doboj and under the supervision of the Doboj District Public Prosecutor’s Office, in cooperation with the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Srpska and the Police of the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The public will be informed about the final outcome of the operational action “Tracker” later.
