There were no interested buyers on yesterday’s auction sale of the package of shares of Sarajevo Insurance JSC Sarajevo, confirmed the Deputy Director of the Agency for Privatization of FBiH Drago Vrbić.
Vrbić said that the privatization of Sarajevo Insurance has not failed given that this is the sale of a minor part. Vrbić added that the Regulations enable the Agency for Privatization of FBiH to reduce the price by ten percent twice. He also reminded that the Government of FBiH has the possibility to reduce the prices by 30 percent.
Agency for Privatization in FBiH is the seller of state-owned shares of Sarajevo Insurance JSC Sarajevo.
Auction sale of state capital is conducted according to stock exchange rules on the Sarajevo Stock Exchange – SASE. The selected professional mediator for the sale of state capital in the enterprise Sarajevo Insurance is the brokerage company AW Broker Ltd. Sarajevo.
Subject of sale is the package of shares owned by the state in the amount of 2.108.469 shares of Sarajevo Insurance.
According to previous announcements, the sale was supposed to be conducted on extraordinary auction with a method of one-time sale which allows only purchase orders denominated in the amount identical to the one in the sales order, and the starting sales price of one share amounted to 12.99 BAM.
