This year, over 200,000 tourists visited the Kravica waterfall, a recognizable symbol of Ljubuški and Herzegovina.
“In the future, we hope for the complete normalization of tourist trips, which were partially limited in recent years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We hope that in the tourist season of 2023, we will get completely close to the results before the coronavirus pandemic,” Parkovi Ljubuški told FENA.
The Kravica waterfall is located on the Trebižat river. It is 7 kilometers from Ljubuški. It is a unique natural beauty built by the water of the river Trebižat passing through the limestone terrain and depositing tufa.
The Time Out magazine singled out the 15 most spectacular bathing spots in the world, and the Kravica waterfall was ranked 12th.
Kravice Waterfall is selected among the 20 sites in Europe according to the Condé Nast Traveler website.
BiH has numerous natural beauties, one of which is Kravice waterfall, one of the biggest and most impressive waterfalls in Herzegovina. It is a favorite local resort, which is visited by increasing number of tourists from all over the world.
This pearl of Herzegovina is recording a record number of tourists, and it is estimated that around 100,000 people visited this waterfall this year only.
This place became an inevitable destination in recent years, and most pilgrims who are visiting Medjugorje will visit Kravice waterfall as well.
Last year was issued a total of 160,000 tickets, and this year there are even more visitors, which is contributed by 100,000 BAM worth marketing promotion, as announced by PE Parkovi, within which operates the business unit “Kravice”.
In the previous period, they worked a lot on the adjustment of waterfalls for tourist visits, and they are planning to further improve their infrastructure in order to make this place even more beautiful for visitors.
Besides domestic tourists, most tourists are coming from Croatia, Italy, Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland and Arab countries. A large number of visitors, as well as touristic development of Ljubuski, is based on the vicinity of Medjugorje and the Adriatic Sea, so there are expectations that the number of visitors will be increased.
