The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts, made two decisions in the total amount of 7,540,000 BAM intended for the development of entrepreneurship and crafts in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
One of the decisions adopted was the Program for spending part of the funds of current transfers determined by the FBiH Budget for 2023 to this ministry, in the total amount of 6,540,000 BAM. These are grant funds that will be distributed for projects determined by the Program.
Bearing in mind that small and medium entrepreneurship is the driving force on the way to the development of the economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the ministry will implement more activities this year with the aim of improving the development of the small business sector.
The goals are to strengthen the competitiveness of small business entities through the development of entrepreneurial infrastructure, and especially through the technological modernization of their business processes, the introduction of international quality standards, digital transformation in business, circular economy and improvement of energy efficiency in accordance with the transition to a green and digital economy.
Thus, 2,000,000 BAM is planned for municipalities and cities for entrepreneurial zones, while subsidies to private companies and entrepreneurs amount to 4,540,000 BAM to support the development of trades and newly established small businesses, as well as to strengthen the competitiveness of SMEs.
The FBiH Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts will announce a public competition for the allocation of grant funds in the Official Gazette of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and daily newspapers, and on the Ministry’s website.
