Pact for Peace: Generals Promise Continued Security for BiH

The European Union Operational Commander for the EU Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lieutenant General Ludovic Pinon de Quincy, together with EUFOR Commander, Major General Maurizio Fronda, met today in Sarajevo with the Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lieutenant General Gojko Knežević.

This high – level meeting reaffirmed the strong and enduring partnership between the European Union and Bosnia and Herzegovina in maintaining a safe and secure environment. Discussions focused on strengthening operational cooperation, enhancing joint readiness, and ensuring continued support to domestic authorities.

The commanders emphasized that stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina remains a shared responsibility, underpinned by trust, coordination, and a clear commitment to peace.

EUFOR remains a credible, prepared and capable force, working side by side with the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
