At the world Olympiad of scientific projects IFEST² (International Festival of Engineering, Science and Technology Tunisia), which took place in Tunisia in March this year, participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) presented themselves with 10 projects and achieved an enviable ranking with a total of 6 gold, 8 silver, with one bronze medal and the main prize, Grand Gold, the best project in the competition among 8 categories. It is one of the largest competitions held in Africa in the fields of science, engineering, technology, and social sciences, traditionally organized in Tunisia, which aims to inspire intellectual curiosity in young minds around the world.
BiH can be proud of the participants of this year’s IFEST2 competition, the students who attend Richmond Park School,and the two contestants, students of International Burch University and the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Sarajevo. Accompanied by mentors Azra Ahmic and Belma Vatic, they achieved enviable results for BiH: Fatima Hadzic, Grand Gold, the best project in the competition and a gold medal in the engineering category, Merjem Hodzic and Merjem Mihaljevic, gold medal in the social science category, Harun Cufurovic, Edna Dzidic and Ajna Pecenkovic, gold medals in the environmental protection category, Ines Ikanovic and Dinela Metovic, silver medals in the environmental protection category, Ema Coralic, Ines Hasanagic, Adna Muratovic, Lamija Kuricand Dzenana Kurtalic, silver medals in the life and biology, Hana Halilagic, silver medal in the physics category, Rejhan Zujo, bronze medal in the environmental protection category.
