Passenger Plane skids off Runway during Emergency Landing in Norway

A passenger plane flying from Norway to the Netherlands was forced to make an emergency landing, during which it skidded off the runway.

Royal Dutch Airlines (KLM) said its plane was diverted to Sandefjord Airport after a loud noise was heard while it was taking off from Oslo for Amsterdam.

During the emergency landing, the Boeing 737-800 left the runway and slid into the grass.

The statement said there were 176 passengers and six crew members on board, and none of them were injured.

An investigation has been launched into the incident.

According to Norwegian media reports, the plane made the emergency landing due to a hydraulic system failure.
