Passengers were evacuated at the International Airport in Sarajevo after receiving a report about an explosive device.

Currently, a counter-sabotage examination (KDZ) is underway, which will last several hours.

“After receiving an anonymous tip about the alleged placement of explosive devices on the premises of Sarajevo International Airport, the competent services immediately took all necessary measures in accordance with valid security protocols. A detailed counter-sabotage review is being carried out. In cooperation with the competent security agencies, the complete safety of all passengers is ensured and employees at the airport.

We ask citizens for their understanding and thank you for your patience. Sarajevo International Airport will continue to monitor the situation and we will communicate all further information in a timely manner,” the airport announced.
